I fell in love with food science...

 

...during my first food science course while studying clinical nutrition.

 

I went on to finish my Bachelor of Science in clinical nutrition at the University of California Davis and pursued a Master of Science in food science from Colorado State University. Since then, I have completed over 7 years of experience in the food industry, including in a manufacturing environment as well as a private food science consultant.

 

Tasks I have mastered include:

​

  • recipe development

  • bench-to-commercial scale-up

  • recipe tweaking for manufacturing efficiency

  • writing nutrition labels and ingredient declarations

  • project management

  • new product introduction

  • managing innovation

  • matching on-market products during manufacturing plant transfers
